NDIS Assessment Services

Functional Capacity and Psychosocial Diagnostic Assessments may be required for:

  • Assessment of a psychological condition to determine if you meet DSM-5 criteria and the report aims to inform the NDIS of your psychosocial disability

  • Adaptive skill questionnaires that compare your abilities with others your age, or may be able to compare your abilities across time, if prior assessments were conducted, or to comment on changes to your functioning or abilities.

  • Reports for the NDIS that advocate for your support needs or supply additional evidence about Behaviours of Concern. Hanna is not a registered behaviour support practitioner and does not provide behaviour support services or PBSPs.

Currently the practice does not own the tests required to conduct Cognitive, Memory, Learning or childhood assessments.

Brief screening and therapy

If you're curious about whether you meet criteria for a psychological condition, your psychologist can conduct more specific tests. During the assessment process, psychologists also aim to rule out the presence of medical or psychological contributors. This may involve sharing or obtaining information from another professionals, obtaining records and asking people who know you well, and asking more specific questions in interview and questionnaires. This screening may also suggest further assessment is required to arrive at a diagnosis, see Assessment Services for costs associated. Brief assessment reports and diagnoses identified can be reported back in a letter to your GP. Detailed reports written outside of appointments are charged at the hourly rate and no Medicare rebates are available for this service.
